![]() Each verse only has a meaning but it can have multiple applications in our life. We need to ask who the author was writing to, at what time in history, and what is being said in the proper context. ![]() We need to read it hermeneutically correct by using a method called Exegesis. Yet it is all perfectly composed with no contradictions. The Bible is a collection of 66 books written over a span of 1500 years. We should read the Bible one book at a time, and slowly make our way through each book. Many believers open the Bible to a random passage and just start reading. 10 I seek you with all my heart do not let me stray from your commands.” I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?”Ĥ) Psalm 119:130 “ The unfolding of your words gives light it imparts understanding to the simple.”ĥ) Psalm 119:9-10 “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. We read the Bible so we can hear from Him and so that we can learn to live according to His law.ġ) 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”Ģ) Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God proves true he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.”ģ) Psalm 56:4 “I praise God for what he has promised. It might be a struggle at first, but the more you do it, the more you will enjoy reading Scripture. ![]() God speaks most clearly to us through His Word. As believers we should be reading the Bible every day. God has so many things that He wants to tell us, but our Bibles are closed. ![]()
